We have the full, Board Approved  CILB Disciplinary class that will satisfy the  7 hrs live CE w/ emphasis on Ch 489 part 1, F.S. requirement

(7 Hrs live CE Chapter 489 -CILB Course #0609548)

This one day course will fulfill the Boards requirement for 7 hrs live CE w/ emphasis on Ch 489 part 1, F.S. disciplanary class .  No need to take 7 one hour courses.  We can fulfill your State CILB disciplinary requirements in one location. (State required disciplinary classes are in addition to the 14 hours required to renew your license.  You may not use a disciplinary course towards your 14 hr. renewal requirements)  This Disciplinary course is held Quarterly in Sarasota only. Class is limited to 12 students.

  Cost is $250.00.  Price Includes forwarding of the necessary documentation to the CILB and proof of course completion for the student. Proper ID is required.  *Sarasota Class Dates  May 29th,  August 20th,  2012.

FLORIDA REQUIREMENTS

 

Information for Construction Licensees:

14 hours board-approved continuing education is required each biennium prior to the renewal period for both certified and registered contractors.

•  1 hour must deal with workplace safety,
• 1 hour on the subject of worker’s compensation,
• 1 hour on the subject of business practices,
• 1 hour on the subject of laws and rules
• General, Building Roofing, Residential Specialty Structure or Glass and Glazing must also include 1 hr of Wind Mitigation
• 1 hour on Florida Building Code advanced module

Information for  Electrical Licensees:

14 hours of board approved continuing education is required each biennium prior to the renewal period for both certified and registered contractors;

• at least 7 hours of which are on technical subjects; 1 hour on workers’ compensation;
• 1 hour on workplace safety;
• 1 hour on business practices
• 1 hour of advanced course..
• Contractors who are engaged in alarm system contracting must take a 2 hour false alarm prevention course as a part of their continuing education.
• Multiple license holders are required to complete the continuing education requirements only once each biennium
